Re: CT Dragway pictures

Love the pictures. That's the first dragstrip I ever went to.

Here is a modern day aerial photo of the place.

I'm glad at least it's still use for beating on automobiles.

Thumbs up Re: CT Dragway pictures

I'll buy a thirty pack for a picture of the '69 SS Chevelle that BJR ran the summer of '69!

Long story I will not get into why I don't have any pictures or movies anymore......

Re: CT Dragway pictures

Hey, nice pics you've put up here from CT Dragway. I noticed Frank Federicci's Shark.

Several years ago, I was in the process of representing a plastic injection molding company in Rhode Island. The company was: MARS Plastics, located in the Olneyville section of Providence. The company is still in business as far as I know.

Frank Federicci was involved in the company with his brother-in-law. He was alive and well at that time and had lots of pictures of his Shark (and others)around the office. He's quite a character.

And here's a useless fun fact- Frank's Father. I believe invented the hula hoop. (no kidding).

Re: CT Dragway pictures

Great old pictures, thank you for putting them up.

I always enjoyed racing at Connecticut Dragway. Frank Maratta was a gentleman and you could do business on a handshake and it would be the real deal.

And, Frank's homemade wine was the best !...........
