2009 WSORR ADDITIONAL RULE UPDATES ISSUED

WSORR continues to release additional updated rules for 2009. A consolidated list of all 2009 season rules will be issued soon. Drivers of record will receive a copy of the final rules package via email and "snail mail". Happy Thanksgiving from the WSORR staff:

--Any race vehicle which takes the green flag but drops out of the race before the completion of the first lap will be awarded last place points.

--No race vehicle will be allowed to leave the race track area (other than to go to the hot pit) and return to competition.

--At the conclusion of the race the top 3 as well as all race vehicles that are still running must report to impound. Failure to report results in a minimum 5 point penalty assessed and all prize money will be forfeited.

--Teams will be required to display the current WSORR uniform patch and vehicle decal. Failure to do so will result in the forfeiture of all awards and prize monies.

--Head and neck restraints such as the HANS, Hutchens or D-Cell devices are mandatory in ALL CLASSES= PRO, SRT & GRASSROOTS DIVISIONS.

--The minimum penalty for the use of traction control devices will result in a DQ from the race as well as forfeiture of all driver and manufacturer points to date.

--PRO 2WD frame profile must remain unchanged. The 2” x 3” rails must remain intact from front to rear.

--PRO Super Buggy will use 2 digit numbers.

--Stock Truck will be allowed to mount the radiator in any location. Any number of 2 inch shocks can be used. Floating pistons or remote reservoirs may be used. Shocks larger than 2 inch may be used but limited to one per wheel. Reservoirs may be used but bypass or custom made shocks will not be allowed. No shocks larger than 3 inch may be used. Every effort will be made to freeze the Stock truck rules for at least 3 years.

--Formula 4x4 proposed 2009 motor and chassis rule changes (as printed in the 2008 rule book) will not go into effect. All previously “grandfathered” trucks will be allowed to race in 2009.

--The SRT Super Truck class will not be offered in 2009 and beyond.

--The 1600 Light Buggy intake valve must be 35.5MM. The exhaust valve must be 32.0MM.

--Enduro Truck must use solid lifters only.
