A sod-turning ceremony took place to officially mark the start of construction on the new Maritime Motor Sports Hall of Fame, with the support of over $500,000 from the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, and $250,000 from the Province of New Brunswick. The year-round centre will showcase the history of all competitive and recreational motor sports in the region, and promote safe participation in those sports. It is expected that this project will increase sales and employment for local businesses as it draws more visitors to the village and surrounding areas.

Our Annual Petty Auto Fest was held on June 7th. There were 58 entries in the show. Our biggest yet. All in all it was a really nice day. The live auction raised over $1000.00.The entertainment was provided by the band, Border Town.
