Solitude Hillclimb - The Solitude races in the Stuttgart game preserve for both entrants and visitors had a quiet special atmosphere. This may have been caused by the picturesque environment and its twisty and hilly road tracks. But these race days not only were sportive competitions but as years go by became more and more real public festivals attracting over 400.000 visitors who lined up closest to the track and had a party throughout three days and nights. The racing drivers were celebrated as heroes and the vehicles admired as technical miracles. Over the years almost all big drivers and makes came to Solitude, World Champions, European and national champions, all motorcycle classes, touring cars, sports cars and race cars including Formula 1. The Solitude race became an annual highlight, not only for local fans but for people all over Europe.
