Van Merksteijn Motorsport - The name of Van Merksteijn has been well known in National and international motorsport. Peter has been competing for the last 20 years and as of 2007 both his son Peter Jr. and daughter Stephanie have joined the passion of their father and started a racing career.
Since the mid eighties Peter has been active in various kinds of motorsport. After haven driven rallies for many on the highest European level, he switched to circuit racing 12 years ago. In 2002, with the purchase of a Porsche GT3RS, he has competed in the FIA GT championship with System Force Motorsport, the predecessor of Van Merksteijn Motorsport. With this car a long standing desire of Peter has been fulfilled, driving endurance races. Through dedication, experience, knowledge and results the team managed to build a reputation for itself of an "Italian racing team with the Swiss performance". These last years the focus has been purely on long distance races
